Racing was offered from Beaufort West (450 km) this weekend. A cold north easterly wind was directly in the face of the packs as they worked there way to Kimberley at a slower pace. It gave an opportunity for the better pigeons to lead the way and to impress.

Our results:

YEARLINGS: 5,8,20,23,33 and 50th…

OPENS:  1,2,5,7,11,15,36,37 and 40th

Again it is the brilliant “0178” winning her 5th race. She was crowned Ace Pigeon¬† short distance in the club and Federation in 2017 and seems to repeat that performance this season.

At this distance it is time to look at the pigeons that are taking minor positions in the clock, as it is them that will slowly but surely move up in the positions as the distance becomes longer..
